As Cincinnati’s Jewish community celebrates 75 years of Israel, join us at Wise Temple for a Lunch & Learn featuring Liza Fuksman, a Russian-Israeli chef visiting Cincinnati for the community’s multicultural festival. Liza will be cooking PELMENI, traditional Russian dumplings, for all of us to taste. In a conversation moderated by Rabbi Thomashow, Liza will share more about pelmeni, along with broader cultural connections and distinctions she experiences in Israeli society. This activity will be a perfect follow-up for those attending Tuesdays with Torah on the subject of Modern Political Zionism that same day. Come with an appetite and questions for our guest chef!
