Wise Center, Amberley

What do you really believe about abolishing the death penalty?  In the Executioner’s Shadow is a film that tells the stories of two families and a prison guard as they struggle with their personal tragedies and their beliefs about justice itself.

Please join Civic Engagement at Wise and the Intercommunity Justice and Peace Center as we view the film and explore the reactions and questions it raises.

Rick Stack, the producer, will join us (on zoom) to share what led to the film and to describe the experience of producing it. Rick is a lawyer and full-time professor of Public Communication at American University in D.C.  His most recent book is Dead Wrong: Violence, Vengeance & Victims of Capital Punishment.

The program will be held at Wise Center on September 19, at 7PM.   The program will not be available on zoom.

Whatever you believe about the abolishing the death penalty, you just might change your mind.
