Preparing for a B’nai Mitzvah is a meaningful experience for students and their families. To help you feel supported every step of the way, we’ve gathered all the materials, handouts, and helpful videos you may need as you prepare for this milestone.
Every student’s B’nai Mitzvah journey begins well before the service. In the months leading up to the big day, your child will work closely with our clergy, tutors, and educators to learn prayers, Torah, Haftarah, and how to lead the congregation. Families will also attend orientation meetings and receive personalized guidance on honors, logistics, and celebration planning.
Use this page as a home base throughout the process.
If you need further copies of the handouts provided in person, they can be downloaded here:
What to Expect at a B’nai Mitzvah
If you or your guests haven’t attended a B’nai Mitzvah before, this short video from BimBam is an excellent overview. It covers what to expect during the service and answers many common questions.
How To Be Called for an Aliyah
Our clergy team created a brief instructional video explaining the aliyot which is when family and friends are called to the Torah to offer the blessings before and after the reading. Please share this with anyone who will have this honor.
