First Steps to Food Waste Reduction: Composting Basics

Elise Roalef of Hamilton County Environmental Services will share with attendees the impact of food waste on our local landfill and the environmental impact of food as it decomposes. Participants will learn how our everyday food scraps can be diverted from the landfill through composting. Elise will share a number of different options to help us get started with composting at home. This will be the first in a series of sessions focusing on practical ways we can reduce our everyday waste.
