The Ralph and Julia Cohen Library, located at the Wise Center in Amberley, contains over 20,000 items and represents one of the largest synagogue libraries in North America. It is a valued resource to the membership, the school, and the entire Jewish community of Cincinnati.
The collection includes an extensive selection of children's books, beginning with those for pre-schoolers and up, as well as a wide selection of adult fiction and non-fiction. Every aspect of Judaica, such as Bible, Commentaries, History, Law, Ritual, Ethics, Philosophy, Family, Holidays, Israel, Music, Art, the Holocaust, Biography, Cookbooks, Travel, etc., is easily located.
The Reference area contains primary sources, in addition to many Judaica encyclopedias and dictionaries. A Teacher Resource Room has a large variety of texts, teaching guides, posters, educational games, and other resources to support the religious school.
The Library includes a large number of videos, CD's and audio tapes, as well as a large print book collection, audio books, and recorded lectures on various topics of Jewish interest. We also subscribe to over a dozen periodicals of interest to the American Jewish community.
