The Memorial Walls at Plum Street Temple and Wise Center provides a special place to honor those who have especially touched our lives.
Memorializing the names of our loved ones expresses our gratitude for the gift of their precious lives, and our hope that their spirits continue to inspire us. Our members commemorate and honor them by making charitable gifts in their honor, and by adding plaques in their names to the beautiful Memorial Walls.
In accordance with Jewish tradition, we mark the memories of these loved ones by kindling a flame at each plaque when the Kaddish prayer is recited at worship services, at Yizkor services on holidays, and on the yahrzeit or annual anniversary of their deaths.
