Isaac M. Wise Temple

The Isaac M. Wise Temple Brotherhood, an affiliate of the Men of Reform Judaism, is an organization whose mission is to serve our congregation and community. We welcome men of all ages to participate in performing Mitzvot by supporting our congregation with religious, social action, educational, and social activities. We work together, support each other and form a community of men in accordance with the traditions and values of Reform Judaism.

We offer opportunities for men to participate in and contribute to our congregation to ensure the continued growth and strength of Reform Judaism. Wise Temple Brotherhood is affiliated with the Men of Reform Judaism.

Upcoming events in September

Summer Cycling at 9:00 AM Sundays Cycling continues on Miami Bike Trail in Loveland, we meet weekly at 9:00 AM, families and friends welcome, bike at your own pace for as long as you feel comfortable, we usually go 20 miles round trip then have snack or brunch. This is truly an enjoyable way to spend Sunday mornings with Brotherhood. Lew picks the direction for the crew.  Please contact him at lew.ebstein@gmail.com.

Fridays at Wise Come join your fellow brothers for services in the “Brotherhood Section”; No reservations needed.

Ushers and Readers Wanted  The Brotherhood has been asked to provide readers at both Plum Street Temple (12:30 - 1:45 PM) and Wise Center (1:15 - 3:00 PM) for the afternoon of Yom Kippur. This will provide a break to staff. David Snyder and Craig Margolis have graciously offered to coordinate. Additionally, Cindy Waldo has asked for help with Ushering the holidays. Pre-Selichot Dinner ~ Saturday, September 4 at 7:00 PM Please join the Brotherhood for a pre-Selichot Dinner (Dutch Treat) 7:00 PM on Saturday, September 4 at Shanghai Mama's (216 East 6th Street - 241-7777). For more information and to RSVP, contact brotherhood@wisetemple.org. Spouses and Significant Others are welcome! PLEASE NOTE THE CHANGE IN TIME AND LOCATION.

(e)YGOW Welcoming Barbecue ~ September 12 12:00 - 1:00 PM The Brotherhood has been asked to help kick off the beginning of the new year for Wise Temple’s Youth Group.

Sukkah Building ~ September 19 We will be looking for a time to build sukkahs for Temple members who request one. Billy will coordinate set-up teams to build them around Yom Kippur.

Sukkah Decorating Monday ~ September 20  We will decorate the Temple’s sukkah. Bring Step stools or ladders.

Lighthouse Youth Service ~ September 23 Join us in providing dinner for the youth and staff; then smooze or play basketball.

Sukkot Cookout and Campout ~ Saturday September 25 Campout on the south field under the stars. Contact Lew (lew.ebstein@gmail.com) if interested.

Pancake Breakfast ~ September 26 Dedicated morning risers are encouraged to help Ed and Andy feed the new students and their parents on the first day of religious school (start cooking at 7:00 AM to serve at 8:15 AM).
