Isaac M. Wise Temple is committed to making our temple and services accessible to the entire community. We have listed below some of the ways we make the Temple facilities, services and programs accessible to individuals with hearing, visual and physical disabilities. If you have any other situations that require accommodations, please contact our Executive Director, and we will make every effort to assist you.
When you visit Wise Temple during weekdays, the doors are locked for security purposes. In order to enter the building, there is a call button on the right side of the doors. Press 0 to introduce yourself and wait for the doors to be unlocked for you. For individuals who require help entering the building, you may request that someone come to the door to assist you.
If you are in need of audio assistance during a worship service at Plum Street Temple or Wise Center Chapel, please ask an usher or staff member for a hearing device. Large print copies of Mishkan Tefilah are available. There is seating for wheelchairs and walkers in both locations.
At Wise Center, we have handicap parking spaces on the side of our building. Walking toward the front of the building, you will encounter a handicap door.
At Plum Street Temple, we have a lift/outside elevator on the 8th Street entry to the building. Please contact Cindy Waldo at 793-2556, a few days before your visit to this downtown facility so that we can be sure to arrange for someone to meet you and assist you with this.
